Description

Woodside House Care Home is located in Mauchline , a historic village located about 7 miles south east of Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. It is also easily reached from the towns of Prestwick and Ayr. The village of Mauchline has historical connection with Scottish National Poet Robert Burns and there is a museum dedicated to the poet in the village. The main building of the care home is a traditional detached stately house built around 1896. It was part of the Ballochmyle estate. The home is a traditional red sandstone building set over two levels. There are landscape gardens to the front and rear. The building was converted into a care home in 1989. The property has been extended over the years with the addition of a large conservatory and an annex comprising 7 on-suite rooms. There is stairlift access to the first floor. The management and staff take great pride in providing the highest quality of care to all our residents.
